From 1994 until 2020 their appointment was just to Madagascar.
In 2020 their responsibilities were expanded to include the additional five island nations or territories that surround Madagascar.

MAURITIUS
A beautiful tropical island with strong ties to India. It is truly a deep sea fisherman's paradise.
REUNION
On overseas department of France. Home to one of the world's most active volcanoes.
SEYCHELLES
An archipelago of 115 islands with pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and diverse ecosystems.
MAYOTTE
Another French department with the largest enclosed lagoon in the world.
COMOROS
A unique blend of Swahili, Arab, and French influences are found in this Muslim nation.
